Burham Institute focusing on studying cardiovascular
diseases, obesity, diabetes and other metabolic
disorders.
Postdoctoral
Positions are available in Dr. Zhen Jiang’s laboratory at
Burnham Institute for Medical Research in Orlando
(http://www.burnham.org) to
study insulin ‑ Akt signaling networks, transcriptional
regulation and metabolic functions in cultured cells and
obese animal models. Scientists with PhD or MD degrees
in Biochemistry, Molecular and/or Cellular biology are
encouraged to apply. Candidates are expect to study
molecular and cellular mechanisms by which obesity
contributes to the development of diabetes using a wide
range of approaches from biochemistry, molecular
biology, cell biology, quantitative proteomics,
metabonomics to mouse genetic strategies and in vivo
imaging. Selected candidates will also have chance to
apply and develop cell‑based assays for drug screening
program at the new site of Burnham Institute. Interested
